3D self portraits

Today will be our final project in Cinema 4D. The most challenging of all 3D creation is the human form. today we will start to build a head using Symmetry . Symmetry is a powerful tool when it comes to building intense human models. lets all find our selves a reference to use(picture of yourself)
what we will learn:

Symmetry:
This tool will allow you to model half the head while the other half models automatically and symmetrically. This is achieved by:

- Dropping a cube-sizing it up to x=150, y=175, z=160
- Make it editable
- Go to "function" then "subdivide"
- Enter 2 and check "Hyper nurbs"
- Take the rectangle selection tool (check "visual elements only" in attributes menu)
- Select half the head and delete it
- Then create three sets of three lines each across the head for eyes nose and mouth w/ knife tool
- Select "Symmetry" in top menu and place cube on to it
- Then get 'hyper nurbs" and place the symmetry object as it's child

you can now switch hyper nurbs on and off and work in a simplified geometry versus the hyper nurbs complexity.

Select
polygons to pull out a nose and inner extrude for eyes.

Bodypaint:
After you are done-move your model into BP to add some color etc. Make sure you use the wizard to calibrate your model so you can paint it.

Game of the day:
let's see who can get the best score on "hardest game 2"
